In Jan 2022, Brainspark Games was awarded an Innovate UK 'Audience of the Future' grant to undertake human centred design research to develop a climate game. Starting with just a few partners including Wellington College, Bevington School, SEED, WWF and researchers from Oxford University Climate School, Brainspark Games embarked upon one of its most exciting and impactful projects yet!

During the course of the 3 month project, Brainspark researched, interviewed and spoke to children, young people, local communities, schools across the UK, climate action groups, politicians, parents, educators, teachers, schools, government running workshops and hosting free playtesting sessions up and down the country.

Resulting in over 33 partner organisations and 4 rapid loc cost prototypes, the project was a huge success and shortlisted for the US based AweXR Challenge prize for the climate education category!
